The subconscious is much bigger than the conscious mind. The subconscious holds memories, beliefs and behavioural patterns, and sometimes these can cause mental anguish or even make people behave in an inappropriate or unhealthy way. These can cause worry, concern, frustration and unhappiness.
Hypnotherapy is so useful because it works with the part of the mind that holds these deep thoughts and feelings. When we have worked through them and released the negative ones, the feeling of freedom, as if a weight has been lifted from the shoulders, can be quite amazing.
